Intermittent

Some closeups of assets for a piece I’m working on called the ‘Intermittent Reward System.’ A strategy used straight out of the casino playbook, deployed by tech companies to create addicted users.

The rewards include: badges, junk mail, unknown gift, gems, coins, misc. mail, messages, and likes.

Tristan Harris is a former Google employee and whistleblower. Writer of the 144 slide manifesto titled “A Call to Minimize Distraction & Respect Users’ Attention. Co-Founder for Center for Humane Technology.”

Tristan Harris’ work often appears in the literature regarding digital addictions. Citing many cases in which tech has reached the absolute threshold in it’s nonstop hunger for more addicts in the attention economy.

I think I’ll call him Ding.
