Perhaps we’ve given in
to the overlords of convenience,
to the frictionless,
the “All solved”
all mighty entertaining
fast and instant.
And where does that leave…
our skill to think critically?
or a thing we can practice?
or a person in the same room?
an important conversation to have?
a feeling to express?
an imagination?
a thing we can make?
We paid the price
paying with attention
And it matters much on HOW we pay.
For ourselves, the ones we love, and the ones we can affect going forward.
